[Exclusive Premiere]: 21-Year Old RADHA Releases Debut Project “Spiral”

Radha is a 20-year old R&B singer/songwriter with a voice that carries more than just an original and authentic sound, but also contains a youthful and enchanting voice full of stories and heartbreak. Her sonic control is impressive for someone so young, and there is potential in what we’re hearing. You’ll find yourself somewhat captured just by the first verse of a song.

Today, Radha releases her debut EP Spiral which is a smoky, melancholic project. She takes you surfing through her erotic melodies and sound waves and reaches deep into your emotions with her “real-talk” lyricism. The instrumentals, produced by the AM Group, are also a perfect complement to her sound as they work together to bring heart-thumping euphoria to the listener. The 4-track compilation starts with her single “Holding On” which is a well-composed and sultry record. Her second single is “No Such Place As Paradise” which is reminiscent of a Jhene Aiko song. It’s conversational, honest, and raw. That track then flows into her slow-tempo-single “Right Now” followed by “Too Afraid”.

As her first official project, this is a wonderful step in the right direction as she follows in the soulful, sad-girl club of artists such as Alina Baraz, Niykee Heaton, Sabrina Claudio, and Sinead Harnett. Hailing from Massachusetts, the young artist is actually still in college. While attending Boston University, she is creating and fabricating these beautiful compositions. She has been singing all of her life, or at least for as long as she can remember, and continued her musicality into undergrad as she joined the Music Business Club and one of the A Capella groups on campus. She then decided to pursue her music more seriously, working harder to find producers and songwriters in the Boston area to help her develop and design the sound she envisioned.

Now, all that’s left for you to do is to give her new music a listen on Spotify and to share it with your friends. Be sure to also follow her on Instagram. DETOUR will be keeping up with the rising creative as she continues to grow and flourish in the realm of rhythm and blues.
