Almost Monday at Brighton Music Hall – A Surf-Rock Escape from Winter

Almost Monday brought a much-needed dose of sunshine to Brighton Music Hall in Allston, MA , turning a cold East Coast night into a blissful, feel-good escape.

The San Diego-based indie-rock trio—Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar), and Luke Fabry (bass)—delivered an infectious performance, radiating energy that had the entire crowd moving from start to finish.

From the moment they hit the stage, lead singer Dawson Daugherty’s charisma was undeniable. His boundless energy, paired with the tight grooves from Clisby and Fabry, created an atmosphere that felt like a summer road trip soundtrack in the dead of winter. Their drummer’s dynamic presence added to the magic, making it impossible not to smile as the music filled the air.

The setlist featured tracks from their recent release Dive, the namesake of their current world tour. Standout moments included the Billboard chart-topper "can't slow down," the dreamy "jupiter," and the irresistibly catchy "cough drops." Each song transported the audience straight to a sun-soaked California day, a welcome contrast to the chilly Boston weather.

Almost Monday exceeded expectations, delivering a show full of feel-good vibes and effortless cool. If given the chance, I’d see them again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the band for taking us on a ride to surf-rock heaven—if only for one unforgettable night. Catch them on tour while you can-tour dates below!
